bento: week of july 6, 2010

Bottom tier:

  • Fake sushi! I have no patience for the real thing, this is essentially just a rice ball wrapped in mamenori (soy paper) and topped with tobiko (the pale green tobiko has wasabi in it!) and a squirt of Kewpie mayo.
  • Crab balls. Basically a stuffed crab without the shell.

Top tier:

  • Pickled baby carrots. These are Mezzetta brand and SUPER yummy. They’re very vinegary with just a little heat.
  • Edamame with sea salt.

For dessert in the sidecar:

  • Black plumcot.
  • Lychee jelly.
