I know! We can write a column for The American Spectator which implies that because President Obama added one word to the official title fo the day, changing it from “National Day of Remembrance” to “National Day of Service and Remembrance”, we’re all going to be forced to perform gay abortions while being sodomized by terrorists.
Umm, not so much. Obama just wants to lighten the suffocating atmosphere of fear and depression a little by reminding people that there are positive things they can do for their country and community. By, say, feeding poor people who probably aren’t sekrit Mooslim teruristz. Or donating books that aren’t Jihad in 10 Easy Steps to inner-city libraries.
Not content to sneer at the sentiment alone, Matthew Vadum takes a few digustingly racist swipes at the HNIC of this liberal orgy, Lennox Yearwood. Particularly loathesome is the senetence “Yearwood, who uses the honorific ‘Reverend’ before his name, has been in the news in recent years, usually for getting arrested.” For protesting the Iraq War, of which he is a veteran; not for selling crack to schoolchildren. Vadum, naturally, doesn’t make that distinction. Also, as someone who holds a Master’s in Divinity from Howard University, he is just as entitled to call himself “Reverend” as Vadum is to call himself “Ignorant Shithead”.
The plan is to turn a “day of fear” that helps Republicans into a day of activism called the National Day of Service that helps the left.
Wow, I never thought I’d see a conservative be so baldly honest about their agenda of using fear to keep themselves in office. As for the second half of that sentence:
The plan is to turn a “day of fear” that helps Republicans into a day of activism called the National Day of Service that helps the left. people.
Fixed that for you, asshole.
