shorter* every wingnut in the world

wingnutThe white supremacist, anti-gubmint Paultard who shot up the Holocaust Museum was a librul!

I’m not linking anything, because all the usual clowns — Malkin, Schlussel, Breitbart, Goldberg, everyone scrawling bathroom graffiti that then gets turned into articles at RedState and WingNutDaily — are saying it. Throw a dart at the wingnutosphere this week, and you’ll hit some excretion claiming von Brunn is the spiritual child of tea-smoking college hippies rapping about the JFK conspiracy. (Never mind that the crazy old fuck is 88 years old.) Because the fact that he embraced every trope of rightwing hatred and bigotry is somehow secondary to the fact that he was a 9/11 truther, and only crazypants liberals are into conspiracy theories. Like, remember how we were all obsessed over Obama’s birth certificate and fuming about how he was born in Hawaii, Kenya, and Indonesia AT THE SAME TIME?!

Bonus!: Andrew Breitbart left an angry, rambling voicemail on Gawker’s tip line, presuambly after his fourth or fifth Long Island Iced Tea.

With the shooting coming so soon after Tiller’s murder, even the MSM is now starting to draw parallels between the out-of-control rhetoric that the far right’s been spewing for years — but that they’ve really stepped up to unprecedented levels of insane vitriol since they lost control of all 3 branches of government — and real world violence. When you have Bill O’Reilly calling Tiller a “baby killer” and assholes like this Southern Baptist pastor (and former running mate of Alan Keyes) openly praying for Obama to die, it gets harder and harder to deny that they are at least partly responsible for the violence done in the name of their causes, and we’re only going to see more and more of this kind of totally unhinged reaction from them.

I, of course, look forward to it.

You almost have to admire how their brains make the correlation to things.

If only they would harness their collective hippie-blaming power and use it to cure cancer or world hunger.
